Please join us September 28–30, 2023 for the 1st biennial Vermillion Writing and Literature Conference at University of South Dakota in Vermillion. The 2023 conference theme, “Beginnings: New Approaches in Creative Writing, Literary Studies, and Pedagogy,” looks with hope to possibilities for new voices, ideas, forms, and projects in the literary arts. VWALC’s panel sessions and public readings will address these and other overlapping concerns. Email

Conference participants are invited to join us for lunch on Thursday, Friday and/or Saturday. Participants are also invited to the Conference Banquet on Friday September 19. Meals may be purchased by marking the appropriate boxes during registration.
